Achieve Southwest is a Warrnambool based service provider for young people who require extra assistance.
We run afternoon groups and holiday programs that are designed to meet the needs of young people with special needs. The groups, based around Art, Music, Cooking, Activity and Life Skills, are fun but structured sessions that give young people the opportunity to learn new skills, build on existing ones and make new friends - all in a caring, kind and supportive environment.
We are pleased to announce the details of our Summer Program for January 2021. Please click here for more information ...
A new group for 2020 is our Afternoon Activity Group which will run every Wednesday during term time from 3.30 - 5.30 pm.
This program was put together with the help of a physiotherapist to assist kids to develop their motor skills, improve their fitness and have fun.
Another new group for 2020 is our Afternoon Cooking Group. This will run every Friday during term time from 3.30 - 5.30pm. This session will be at the beautiful new Merri River School premises on Wollaston Road.
Achieve Southwest was formed by Sarah Noonan and Ian Winstanley in Warrnambool, SW Victoria in early 2019. Both have worked in the disability sector for over 30 years.
We could see that some young people need a little extra help in developing the necessary skills to help them to fit comfortably into their family, school and social communities.
Having identified this need, we created after school clubs and Holiday Programs with a welcoming and supportive environment where participants can learn how to be more effectively and happily involved in their world.
Our aim is to help young people achieve their full potential.
